"Indonesia Rises, Indonesia Prospers"

On the 7th Anniversary of Perindo Party

Jakarta, 8 October 2021

Assalamualaikum Warrahmatulahi Wabarakatuh,

Namo Budaya,

Dan salam sejahtera untuk kita sekalian

His excellency, Bapak Ir. H. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia

Chairs and Leaders of Political Parties,

Leaders of State High Institutions,

And all the Leaders and Cadres of Perindo Party that I love and am proud of.

Thank God almighty, on this day, 8 October 2021, Perindo Party, is in the age of seven years. It is a relatively young age for a political party. 

Seven years ago, Perindo Party was established and crafted by the thoughts and commitment to take part in the development of Indonesia with a strong economic foundation through partisanship towards improving the sustainable welfare of the people. Perindo Party is home to thoughts, debates and the struggles to achieve this noble goal.

I really appreciate the social movement that is currently being endeavored by Perindo Party cadres in all corners of the country. In commemorating this 7^th anniversary, our cadres unite together and stand shoulder to shoulder to help the community in dealing with the impact of this extraordinary COVID-19 pandemic. Including activities to support the Government to conduct vaccination programs in the regions through cooperation with local governments, health centers and local health workers in carrying out vaccinations of up to 7000 doses to the community.

In addition, Perindo Party also provides social assistance for communities affected by the pandemic in various regions, assistance and strengthening SMEs as a motor of the nation's economic recovery, as well as educational assistance for children from families affected by the pandemic, along with other various other social activities.

 

To all the cadres of Perindo Party, I advise you... to continue to work hard and stay in the midst of society and be part of the solution to the socioeconomic problems facing our nation.

I fully understand that it takes perseverance, tenacity, patience and hard work for us to come together to recover from this pandemic. I believe that all our continuous struggles will produce good results.

 My fellow Perindo Party cadres, and all the people of Indonesia,

 

Perindo Party is striving for the welfare of the Indonesian people. We want our people to prosper together, and not prosperity that is only benefited by certain groups.

Our nation is born of struggles and thoughts above all factions, not in terms of certain elites or those who are stronger economically and in power. It is such in this spirit of struggle that needs strengthening. Do not let those who enjoying welfare are the ones who are rich, strong in capital and power alone.

 

Political parties, as the main pillars of democracy, shall ensure that there is no room for arbitrariness in the achievement and equality of welfare.

Perindo Party strives for a lofty idealism that is to realize prosperity for all people, indiscriminately, through partisan policies and accelerate education to realize a united, sovereign, just and prosperous Indonesia.

 

Nation building and prosperity for the people cannot be achieved without good quality education. Improving the quality of human resources is one of the key and essential capitals that should be the focus of our development.

The development of innovation, creativity, information technology and digitalization are contributing factors accelerating the nation's development. We do not want to be a nation that is just a spectator of the economic progress, creativity, information technology and world civilization carried out by other countries. We must be able to be players who help color the progress of world civilization.

 

 

My fellow Perindo Party cadres whom I love and am proud of,

 

Political parties are the backbone of Indonesia's democracy and nation-building. Through the advocacy of public policies carried out by Perindo Party cadres who currently serve in executive and legislative offices, we work to provide change and prosperity for our society.

I call upon all perindo party cadres to strive with determination to build our Party as a great laboratory for dialectics and pro-people and pro-welfare public policy determination and become a locomotive of the development of mental, character and productive culture of the nation.

Although the 2024 election is still two years away, Perindo Party is determined to take an active role to participate in the 2024 election as one of its contestants.

Perindo Party understands that the 2024 election is different from previous elections and has its own level of complexity. This election is the first simultaneous election in Indonesia that unites the time of holding presidential and vice-presidential elections, lawmakers in the House of Representatives, DPD RI, Provincial and Municipal Parliaments, and also regional leaders.

Perindo Party is determined to produce leaders and lawmakers who are genuinely the result of the people's choice, both at the national and regional levels who have a firm commitment and hard work to realize the noble goal of people's welfare.

In order to realize these lofty ideals, and as part of a transparent and inclusive democratic process, allow me, representing all cadres and leaders of the Perindo Party to declare the establishment of the People's Convention (Konvensi Rakyat) to elect legislative candidates at the central and regional levels in 2024.

 

This People's Convention was born from the idea of building a digital-based political ecosystem, while upholding a democracy that gives the people full sovereignty to elect their candidates in parliaments.

This People's Convention provides equal and inclusive participation space in politics as a basis for building party institution, so that the process of electing representatives of the people in parliament runs transparently and is a form of genuine people's aspirations that are far from transactional and “connection” practices.

 

Through the digital-based People's Convention, Perindo Party has become the first political party in Indonesia to carry e-democracy, or digital-based democracy, that is building a modern democracy whose process uses information technology in accordance with the demands of today's era that requires fast-paced, transparent and equitable processes, so as to provide open opportunities for anyone, ranging from experienced voters to millennial and zillennial voters in realizing their political aspirations.

With this People's Convention, Perindo Party will become a truly inclusive and open political party. The party that becomes the national home for anyone by opening the widest opportunity for all components of the nation to unite to realize a prosperous Indonesia.

 

Through this Convention, Perindo Party will be a pioneer in initiating a movement of change towards the order and behavior of modern parties, by enriching the sovereignty of the people to elect their leaders and representatives. With information technology based, the relationship between the party and its constituents will be closer and more unified. This is the movement that we hope can create fundamental changes in the culture of modern Indonesian democracy.

 

Perindo Party believes that when the people know who their leaders and representatives are in parliaments, then the delivery of their aspirations will be more targeted. Through information technology, the delivery of people's aspirations will be more instant and maximal. As a result, political parties, leaders and party cadres must work at all times without even a pause, to realize the aspirations of the people at any time, not just in the days leading up to the election. This is the transformation of party work that will be realized in Perindo Party organization.

The People's Convention is the first step of a series of changes and institutional strengthening of Perindo Party that we will trigger in the next few months.

Perindo Party will mark 2022 as a year of change with big ideas to build a strong and more established party foundation, so as to work towards the acceleration of nation development towards a prosperous Indonesia.

My fellow cadres of Perindo Party and all of the Indonesian people,

 

That is the essence of the People's Convention as a reform of the nation's political culture. To that end, starting from today, Perindo Party is declaring the commencement of this renewal process.

It is therefore, Perindo Party calls every element of society without exception, ranging from religious leaders in all corners of the country, SMEs actors , farmers, fishermen, traders, teachers, community leaders, professional actors and actresses, retired Military (TNI) / Police (Polri), scholars, legal practitioners, our brothers and sisters who have disabilities, millennial youth, women, housewives, artists and performers of cultural arts, entrepreneurs, and all Indonesians without exception to participate in this People's Convention, to elect and be elected as candidates for the people's representatives and together strive to build Indonesia into a prosperous, fair, and prosperous nation.

 

Now it is time to write history, not be the spectator of history anymore.
